Lovely and talented vocalist extraordinaire BonnieEisele’s diverse performing experience includes theatrical tours in the U.S. and Europe with the Chicago Free Street Theater, studio recording on TV and radio commercials; musical shows at the Chicago Playboy Club, Chicagofest, Drury Lane Theater, and Miami’s Fountainebleau; many jazz clubs, festivals and cruises with the Les DeMerle Band and a Rotary Foundation graduate fellowship studying music and dance in Brazil.
Les DeMerle, world-renowned drummer, clinician, bandleader, Founder and Artistic Director of The Amelia Island Jazz Festival toured and recorded with the Harry James Big Band from 1970 to 1982. One of those recordings, The King James Version, won a Grammy Award.
A former leader of the world-famous Dukes of Dixieland in New Orleans, JB Scott toured with the Jimmy Dorsey Orchestra, Al Hirt, and other jazz notables, and was featured on the PBS special, “A Salute to Jelly Roll Morton” with legendary Danny Barker in Mahogany Hall. He is the Director of Jazz Studies at UNF, Director of the Great American Jazz Concert Series, Director of the award winning UNF JE 1 big band, and jazz trumpet professor for over 24 years.
Lisa Kelly is the winner of 8 prestigious Downbeat Magazine Awards for voice, arranging, and original composition. Her smoothly phrased warm, swinging style is a blend of Rene Marie and Diana Krall, her “horn-like scat approach is that of Ella. She has been the featured vocalist with the legendary Larry Elgart Orchestra, the St. Johns River City Band, the University of North Florida JE 1 big band, and many others.
Daniel Tenbusch is a musical artist and keyboardist based out of the Space Coast of Florida. Daniel Tenbusch began playing piano at a young age and took an early interest in jazz and popular music, studying with Heidi’s own Ron Texiora.
Char Good is a violinist and vocalist who plays from the soul. She has studied Music and Vocal Performance at Eastern Florida State College. After discovering the recordings of Ella Fitzgerald and Coleman Hawkins at an early age, Good fell in love with jazz music. Although she collaborates with musicians of every genre, jazz is special to her because, in her words, “Jazz translates human emotions and experiences into songs that people from many backgrounds and age groups can relate to --- jazz brings people together.”
Led by pianist Connor Mahoney, and featuring guests like Hella Ayelet Gal and Char Good, the Liquid Groove Project is a collective of musicians dedicated to exploring the musical possibilities of traditional jazz and modern funk, soul, and popular grooves.
